To celebrate 60 years of Nederlands Dans Theater (NDT), the company brings a cabinet of curiosities. Kunstkamer is a celebration of everything that makes the company so spectacular. Their house choreographers Sol León and Paul Lightfoot join forces with NDT's associate choreographer Marco Goecke as well as Sadler’s Wells Associate Artist Crystal Pite to create a performance which features every dancer in both NDT 1 and NDT 2.
The “distinct phenomenon” (The Independent) junior company, made up of 16 dancers under the age of 23, join 26 of “the world’s most magnificent dancers” (The Sunday Herald) in the main company for an extravaganza of dance, set to an eclectic medley of music, from Ludwig van Beethoven to Janis Joplin, Arvo Part, Bela Bartok and Franz Shubert.
